Default Apopka?

Can anyone give me any info on the Apopka area? How is the crime in that area?

It's a mix of suburban and rural, with rising crime--especially drugs. Since they've built the 429 it's pretty convenient to other parts of the Greater Orlando area. You'll find everything from 40 year old rusting trailers that look like they should have been condemned years ago to million plus dollar homes. It really depends on what part of Apopka you are in.

Are you familier with the Verandahs at Hunt Club Apartments? That's where we're looking.

The Hunt Club area in general is pretty nice. The parts of Apopka that you should steer away from are the downtown area and South Apopka. The nicer areas are around Errol Estates, Wekiva, Sweetwater, etc. If you look in that general area on a map, from downtown Apopka the nicest areas are NW, N, NE and East of downtown. SW, S and SE of downtown are the bad areas. The nicer you get to Longwood/Lake Mary it gets nicer for the most part, as well. You will get more responses on this if you post this in the Orlando forum too, BTW! Happy hunting!
