HI. I don't live there, but from everything I've read on here, the hospital at Lakeland is a good hospital. A few of the posters here work there and rave about it. Are you planning on working there or are you just concerned about living near a good hospital? My neice works there and loves it. It sounds like the pay and the benies are good and she just seems to like it there. One poster even commented that some nurses actually drive from Orlando to Lakeland to work there.

I needed to use The Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill on Cortez for an emergency run and I got excellent treatment there.

I have been told by others that the Hospital in Leesburg is one of the best.
It serves the huge senior population from The Villages as well as the Lake county area.

Pixiedust,
Thank you for asking.
I do not want to steal a thread, but to answer your question, we are still up north. It is in the twenties, and my driveway needs snowblowing, even though it is now the 5th of April.

I am trying to work out some details that may allow us to take another trip down there next week. I really miss the place, but we will not be able to retire and move down there full time for another 4 years......

To expound on the hospital question, I have a friend who is a snowbird, and is on chemo.......she LOVES Leesburg hospital......in fact, when she is up here in the summer, she has told her hubby that if she needs a hospital, do not call an ambulance, get an airplane ticket, because she only wants to be treated in Leesburg.......

Frank D.
