True but the Florida style homes never had that kind of roof height or dormer windows. They were simple and cheap to build, and often built by the residents.

If I could build my own home today in any style I'd wish, I'd have a tough time deciding between the between Mediterranean/Spanish style homes with the archways and courtards and Key West Style homes with teh big porches and metal roofs!!

Love that style as well. What is the square footage on that? Have a floor plan? Is it family friendly? Thanks!

Cil,

Very nice house, my wife likes the wrap around the house porch style. We like the single level home versus the two story type. We will build in maybe 10 years a retirement home similar to this plan:

All depends if we don't purchase a small house in St Augustine...

Well this is the 2007 version. I'm sure the true old style homes never had AC or more than one bathroom, but I am not about to do without that either.
The square footage is just under 3000 sq feet heated/cooled, and there is no house plan because at present this place is one of a kind--but that may change.

Ivy Stranahan was good friends with my mom. I always liked that house when I was a kid. I even went to Stranahan high school.

We certainly will not be entertaining ideas of living in any communities that support HOA. Five acres is a bit of a stretch, the three dogs would like that but for me no way,I want no more than 1/2 acre.
50's style wood lanes and 10 pin would be heaven to my husband. I better not tell him this or he will want to have a bowling ally in the house too. If you decide to put together a league let me know and I will tell him.

They will pretty much build it any place, they may charge you 10,000 more for that though (mind you under these slow conditions they most likely would wave that). The prices right now are 255,900 (no lot) they have come down 50K in the last several months. I am waiting to see a lot more declines before I commit to anything.
If you click on this link http://www.turnkeyhomes.com/ you will get pretty much everything you need, you can also order brochures.

I have looked at dozens of home plans and I always come back to this house. I really love the style of it more than anything I have seen for this size. This home is not to big. We are currently living in a 4,000 sq foot home and it is to much home. I think 2000 sq f is perfect for us.

They are still cheap to build Rick that has not changed, just the greed of more profit changed.
