Hi, I posted to this yesterday but it does not look like it went through. I am looking to relocate to Fl or NC in the next year, I saw an episode of Supernanny and there was a house in Pasco County on the episode. It had the most stunning staircase inside it almost looked like the landing was in the shape of an octagon, it was two story house. Did anyone seee this episode if so does anyone know who the builder was or where the subdivision is? I would like to get a set of plans for this house. Thanks

Actually, that's not correct. I lived in a house beachside for a few years that had an almost identical roof height and window layout as the house you were commenting on, and it was built in 1923. It was built using coquina bricks, and actually had a basement.
Many of the homes on the same street looked similar as well, and were all built in the 1920s and 1930s.

My favorite type of house is a small country home with a front porch on acreage. We have a small country on home on 5 acres now in a very rural area. We live on a private drive and most of the roads out here are dirt roads. Trust me, we rarely see anyone driving out here that doesn't live here. At night we can see many stars and sometimes even the Milky Way. We have seen a satellite passing over..we have seen many fireballs falling to the earth. We have lots of wildlife that use our land for food and shelter. We have the nicest and funniest most down-to-earth neighbors. We have the river close by. We are enveloped by the fragrant smell of orange blossoms. I could not imagine living anywhere else. I used to boo-hoo about the increase in the cost of living in South Florida but now I think it's worth every penny. If I had to move back to the city or suburbs though I would not feel that way at all.
