Default Ocala

Ocala is the best place in florida for horse country people I think. It seems to have the largest horse population. Its a little greener with pine trees and gets cooler than where I am. I like it because I came from Pennsylvania. I thought the keys were nice, but all the beach is owned and we werent able to get onto any of it there. You are right about adult stores galore! I loved the art shops but could do without the porn.

In first place is St. Augustine. I LOVE the history of the place, its quiantness and peacefulness. Due to its tourism base it also has much more to offer in the way of entertainment and restaurants than most places its size.

Second place would be Orlando about 10 years ago. It's getting so big and traffic is getting worse every year. It still has much to offer especially in the way of entertainment, but has lost alot of its charm and southern personality.

Mine is probably Tallahassee - it's different from the rest of the state, more like a Georgia/SC/Alabama-feeling city than Florida, things just seem more laid back and I like the Southern culture I found (it's been quite a few years since I've been there, so things may have changed).

If your city isn't lited, just vote for the closest one and tell us about it.
I would pick Navarre Beach/Ft Walton or Pensacola area. Very clean and beautiful beaches. Also not yet over-commercialized/over-populated.

Allot of cities I like with only a few I dislike in Florida but if I had to pick one, I believe Ft. Lauderdale is paradise!

St Pete, Ft Myers, Clearwater, Destin would be all very close. I like the Siesta Keys area too.. Too many paradises in Fla to really choose just one.

So I voted for Ft. Lauderdale as my favorite with the above getting honorable mentions from me.

I am a die-hard Port Saint Lucie fan! I love what the city has to offer, such as low crime, high-end resturants and a lot of room to navigate the city. If you have never visited this city before, go! You're missing out. The city is scheduled to hold a PGA tour event this fall!
