Actually closing the shutters for the time you are gone is a horrible idea. If there is a fire in the building there is no way for fire department to fight the fire. Here they tell people not to keep the shutters on all the time for that reason. You should hire someone to put them on or roll them down only when a storm is coming or at least not put them down on allwindows and the patio etc.

I can understand the fire departments concerns, I just don't think its easier to close up shop at the end of the season. Instead of having to hire a company to come in and close up the shutters, plus that is another person/company that has a key to your place, which I don't like.

Default Jobs better on the west coast vs brevard county??

I relocated here from Upstate New York, am semi-retired, but have found it very challenging to find good employment in Brevard County. I'm contemplating visiting Hillsborough County. Any comments or thoughts on this would be helpful. I'm tired of employers telling me in Brevard County "your overqualified". I'm only 56!

You would probably do better in Pinellas County, which has a slightly lower unemployment rate than Hillsborough County and less competition for part-time work from the masses of college students in Hillsborough.
