Cooper City is much friendlier, much less congested, has less gated communities (but one huge sprawling one, Embassy Lakes), and is a tiny bit cleaner, that's about it. Both are known for a large Jewish population, but the quality of the bagels is much higher in Boca. The schools are "rated" about the same but I think the facilities might be newer/better in west Boca schools. West Boca might have a touch more crime, but neither are anything to be scared of.

Additionally, I'm going to say that Cooper City has a nice sense of community that most of South Florida lacks. It's very stable, and people who move there tend to stay for many years. It's almost a small town feel. You will NOT find that in west Boca. I would pick Cooper City.

I would not say Cooper City has a huge Jewish population.

Cooper City has a few synagogues, a JCC, a Jewish Student Union in it's public high school, and more Jewish businesses per-capita than surrounding cities. It's not more than Boca, and DEFINITELY not Hollywood, but there is definitely a sizable Jewish population in comparison to most communities around it.
