Hello everybody!
Can you list some of the most beautiful (off the beaten path) small Florida towns that are quaint and worth taking a look at. This would help attract tourist dollars to these small towns, too.
I will add one that I thought was cute. Sebring.

thanks...Happy Spring!

Don't go to Florida without spending some time on Anna Maria Island. Small enough to have retained it's fishing village laid back atmosphere it is a lovely Florida tropical paradise, and with good restaurants and shopping.

I would say Delray Beach. Its far enough from Miami for a different vibe but still a short drive.

Default Anna Maria Island, Bonita Springs and Sanibel

I have to say as much as Bradenton is becoming a dump, Anna Maria Island is still a beautiful city.

Down here in Lee County, Bonita Springs is nice and so is Sanibel!

Definitely Lake Placid. It's just so cute.

Does anyone think that Tavares or Mt. Dora fit into this category? I haven't been there yet, but are they small hidden gems, too?

Jammie,

Mt. Dora and Eustis ( next to each other ) and close to Tavares are older style Florida areas with allot of Florida charm, the downtown areas of them both are so cool.

Micanopy is also super..

Just too many.

Of course Mt Dora is home of one of my favs, Renninger's Antique Show !!
