Default Fort Walton Beach Cable/Internet/Satellite Info Please

We're moving to Fort Walton Beach at the end of May and are looking up utlities and such... We need to get Cable and Internet and were told that Cox is the provider of these services for this area. Their fees are outrageous. Paying an extra $20 a month for HD service/Digital service.. Right now we pay $100+ tax for Time Warner including our HD box and HD/Digital Channels... Cox is like, $128 plus tax just for tv and internet! Isn't all cable going to be digital anyways!?

We looked into DirecTV but frankly, all of their packages and add-ons confuse me. It almost seems like it'd cost more. We are looking for digital cable, we have an HD tv and of course hubby wants fast internet and HD/Digital channels.

Are there any other providers out there or any promotions I should know about? We saw one promotion that expired Dec 2008 for three months at some reduced rate through Cox but I am still not impressed.

We are living in a rented townhouse for the time being as well, so I am not sure they're too keen on having a dish attached somewhere. I'd have to ask I suppose...

Thanks for any advice!
