The crimes they did are horrible and deserve punishment, saying that I do not think these living conditions are a good idea. These men have nothing to lose to go out and strike again.

That story was pretty sad. Did you notice how they said their lives were better when they were living in jail? Now if that's not insentive to go out and do something to get put back in jail, I don't know what is.

And what about the guy who has a job and had an apartment and now doesn't sleep well because the rats are all around him and sometimes chew on him? Have we really become so hardened to our own people that we just look the other way? We treat criminals that are here from other countries better then we treat our own people. How sad!

I saw the clip. I thought WOW!! And then I thought they made there bed they should lay in it. I have NO pity for these guys. I saw no remorse in this whole clip.

Considering Jessica, Amber, Megan, countless others ...these kids would have preferred mere rodent encounters -- if given the choice.
These people actually have it pretty good if the vitcims' parents, relatives & neighbors aren't getting a shot at them.

Don't misunderstand, I by no means condone what they did to children or to young girls. But just from knowing a few of the sex offenders in my area, I have a different view. I personally feel they should separate the offenses. Someone who rapes a small child is sick. Someone who is 18 and sleeps with his 16 year old girlfriend isn't sick, just using poor judgment. I know a person with a mental handicap who is on the offender list~he thinks it's funny to flash people. Two gals I used to work with have sons on that list. They were both 18 and slept with girls who were 3 years younger then they were. I know one who was railroaded by his wife and his daughter because they wanted him out of the house. He was accused of incest and after he was in prison, their story about him changed. My husband had gone to school with a guy who ended up in prison for rape. His girlfriend thought she was PG and was terrified of what her parents would say, so she yelled RAPE on her boyfriend. Turned out she wasn't preggie after all. I just don't believe that ALL sex offenders should be punished the same and be made to live under bridges and be chewed on by rats. As for the violent ones~I believe they should be in a psych word for life.

Good points, Jammie. That is a different story. You're right that the punishment should fit the crime.
