Is there alot of crime in Florida, that COPS has to air the majority of their shows there? I always see WPB, FMYERS, MIAMI, JAX to name a few..

I think it's for a couple of reasons:

1. where you live...when I lived in Vegas I would see Cops in Vegas on tv all the time.

2. they film the show in warm seasons and since Florida gets nicer weather they can film all year there

seems like that is where the most action is for cops!!! I see Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood on there too-

I agree with macguy. I have seen the cops show for Houston and a couple of other major US cities.

i see them a lot in memphis and atlanta. many of them are re-runs and air the same show over and over again. i think i saw them once in jax'ville, but everything was pretty minor stuff --- a lot of it is. i think only one bad person has ever been shot while filming, and it was in like rhode island or somewhere...

It is because certain Florida residents we all know are paying them allot of money to keep us wanna bees from moving there!!!!

Anything negative is worth there effort........... they would do anything to keep us out, even be actors !!




They need to go to Cleveland, Ohio, bet they get shot before they even set up the cameras if they film on Friday night in certain areas of town.

It's the only place I know you can leave a ballgame fully clothed and leave without the shirt off you back !!

COPS trivia- the original show was filmed in Broward County when Nick Navarro was sheriff. Maybe the producers have maintained Florida connections.
