The Florida Keys are underrated. I've enjoyed Bahia Honda beach (on the left side) and camped out in Long Key State park - too awesome for words.

A "slow" day at the beach!

^^^I agree, Floridas beaches have PLENTY of activity, there is no other state, besides MAYBE CA, or Hawaii, that have as many beaches that have ALOT of activity. There are probably HUNDREDS of clubs, restaurants, hotels, and many places if intrest from West Palm Beach to Miami Beach. BET has there spring bling thing EVERY year down in Florida. MTV has there spring break thing every now and then in Florida also. Every other eastcoast state besides florida seems like they have boring beaches. That's what it looks like from pics i've seen.

Those Gulf beaches are indeed beautiful.
Have you been east of Panama City? This pic is around Port St Joe, where they moved Hwy 98.

These days I enjoy Amelia Island, on the Atlantic side:

Nearby Cumberland Island:

I agree that Miami is the place to be if you want more activity, but the main beach on Amelia Island is not exactly dead. Myself, I prefer "dead" beaches, but then I'm an oldster who just wants to walk my dogs and/or veg out for awhile.

Bluest water
Can anyone tell me which beach in Florida has the bluest water, and is the best place to have a wedding?

I actually despise most beaches with I guess "activity"...bars clubs etc. I prefer the quieter almost deserted beaches like the ones in Hawai'i (save Waikiki of course). No (or limited) high rises, nightclubs, but I do like some small local shops and restaurants...my favorite on the Gulf side is Siesta Key. I have not made it to the panhandle yet!

Bluest waters? I would think on the Atlantic side but not positive.
