Yes, but .... they are " OKAY" beaches-
Carabelle and surrounding areas. It's south of Tallahassee. There is two RV parks about a mile apart from each other. Both same beach but totally different. I can't remember the names of the RV parks. Independent owned and operated.

Cape San Blas is absolutely gorgeous. No high-rises, few facilities.
Blue sky, emerald Gulf and white dunes.
Camping is at St Joseph Peninsula State Park.
There is also camping at nearby Indian Pass. Book ahead.
Worth visiting is nearby St Vincent's Island, a wildlife refuge.
Twenty minutes away is Apalachicola, home to the most delicious oysters on earth. (The shrimp is pretty good, too.)
We rented near Indian Pass for several months. One of the things I liked about it was the fact that dogs are welcome at the beach any time of day.
We regularly saw bald eagles, dolphins, grey foxes, and other wildlife.

Best Beaches in FL
Hey guys,
Planning a vacation to FL next April with hubby and two young kids. What I want is a perfect beach - clean, soft sand and calm clear blue water. Also, since we are traveling with young kids, I want to stay away from busy, "loud" area like Miami Beach. Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Siesta Key looks like an ideal place for us. I even found a nice hotel right on the beach that seems to have everything we need. If we were to fly to Tampa/St. Pete and then drive to Sarasota, specifically Siesta Key - is it a long drive? Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from NJ to Sarasota, so we would have to fly to Tampa.

Panhandle is definitely the prettiest, but can be a little chilly yet in April. My weather + beach pick would be Siesta Key or Sanibel.
