Can any one suggest a good area to live ( no super rich but middle working class ) close to amenties, good schools, transport routes possible, or know of any helpful websites, realestate agents who could help. Looking to move later this year. The more information the better as looking for homes on thsi side of the world over there is kind of hard without help Cheers

Do you need to work, or are you bringing your own job/investment income with you? As for the rest, Florida's a huge state with a number of different subcultures and subclimates. Do you want a bigger or smaller area? Are you more interested in Latin or Southern culture? Want a subtropical climate or something with a hint of four seasons?

You might want to try North Port. It's in Sarasota county-good schools, affordable property, average age is 38, close to the interstate.
My main question for you is about your job situation. Things are pretty tough right now in Florida and frankly in most of the US in the employment sector. Do you have a certain field you are looking for a job in? It might be a good idea to look at areas that you might have a higher success rate in finding a job.
Beachmouse had some really good questions as well. A lot depends on what type of atmosphere you're looking for.

Do you have visas? We get folks from other countries wanting to move here only to be stopped by the immigration process.
What is your housing budget?
