This is another reason I am now using electronic cigarettes. Not only are they healthier, they don't offend anyone with odors and are so much cheaper. They are also very cool. :-)

There is a forum/website which is a carbon copy to this one and it only discusses the ecigarette. Its amazing people who had smoked 3-4 packs a day quit using the electronic cigarette. I use to smoke 1 1/2 packs per day now I'm down to 4 total. I am so proud of myself.

Good for you!!! You certainly should be proud of yourself! I might check into that 'electronic cigarette' myself - I'm trying to quit & could use some help, but don't want to use the patches or drugs... How long did it take you to cut down to 4 a day? Do you think you're going to be able to quit 100% soon?

Believe it or not immediately. The first time I put it in my mouth I was like oh no, this tastes terrible. Then I did a little research and found out that there is a factory seal on the atomizer and has to burn off. Once it did I loved it. You can chose your own flavors and nicotine strengths, which at first was strange for me to smoke some butterscotch but then I tried a real cigarette and thought I had licked an ash tray. I enjoy smoking and this alternative is great for me. Here is the link to the forum that discusses all the types people use also check out youtube.

Yes I could quit probably anytime I wanted to its just mind over matter I think. The hand to mouth fixation is taken care of with the ecig and so is the nicotine level so no withdrawl. I just need to let them (analogs) go for good. The hardest is after a meal and first thing in the am with coffee.

thanks, its a big accomplishment for me. There is a learning curve involved not only by using it but with your own habits. I don't have to roll down the window in the car, I don't have to go outside and when am I suppose to put it down. With a real cigarette you know your finished when you get to the filter. The ecig you just puff away. I was stuck on an airplane (on the runway) recently for 4 hours, I took out my ecig and had a puff... I was in heaven and all the smokers were envious.
