Default Gulf Breeze: On the Beach?

Somehow, I can't seem to figure this one out.

Is the city of Gulf Breeze actually on the ocean?
Does it have its own beach?

The only results I get are something about a hotel with a private beach in Gulf Breeze. I really didn't think I was a huge idiot, but maybe I need to rethink things.

Thanks!

I don't get the asterisk part...did I put "Golf" somewhere? Seems like something I would do.

Thanks for your reply, btw. So are the beaches fresh water?
I should probably look into what a "sound" really is and what "the bay" is referring to in that area, but that seems like a lot of work, lol.

The bay is best described as 'brackish'- a mix of fresh and salt water.

Santa Rosa Sound is the long canal-like area that's between Santa Rosa Island and the Gulf Breeze peninsula, and connects Pensacola and Escambia Bays to Choctawhatchee Bay (Ft. Walton Beach)

The hotel you are talking about has a private "beach" on Pensacola Bay, not the Gulf of Mexico. It's okay but nothing great. The City of Gulf Breeze is located on a peninsula where the Bay is on one side and Santa Rosa Sound is on the other. The Sound is the intracoastal waterway. South of that is where Santa Rosa Island lies. This is a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico, so the Gulf is on one side of the island, and the Sound is on the other. There are lots of waterfront homes in Gulf Breeze but they will be either on the Sound or the Bay. The only really beautiful sugar white sand beaches are on the island, which is where you will find Pensacola Beach. If you're coming to visit, this is where you should stay.

None of these three bodies of water are freshwater.

Hope this helps.
