Everytime I've been there, especially in May, June, July, August or Sept., it's soo hot and of course a breeze would definitely help. But the breezes I felt were almost non-existent, and then if there were a breeze, it was like hot air and almost made it more uncomfortable, imo.

At night in St Augustine in the summer, when I have visited there a few times, it just always feels more comfortable at night with the Atlantic breeze.

I don't like Florida's climate. I do enjoy rain in general - I like to listen to it and watch from the inside - but the humidity that follows is so unbearable. I really can't stand hot temperatures, and the humidity only makes it worse for me. I miss the beauty of changing seasons and the way they made me feel.

It probably doesn't help that I really don't like wearing shorts, ever. But these tropical Christmases, to me, are really lackluster. I was so happy to fly up north and spend the holiday there.

I went up to a small town in upstate New York: my mom lives there, so I spent Christmas and New Years with her and other family. I got so excited when I saw snow for the first time in 12 years. I wanted to go wake her up, but I reminded myself I was 18 and it's probably not that exciting to her. (:

I totally understand. The last time I shoveled snow in Michigan, I truly enjoyed it because I knew where my home was. If I had to do it everyday .... thats another attitude! I miss Long Island and NYC with all it has to offer but can not deal with the weather issues. I enjoy Florida.

What weather issue? The weather in NYC and Long Island is wonderful with 4 seasons! It's only cold for 2 - 3 months!
