I am 45 minutes north of Tampa and the leaves change color every year. Not as much as up north but definitely change.
We had many below freezing days this past winter as we do every winter.
Too many people that comment about Florida weather really have no actual knowledge of Florida weather.

No actual knowledge of FL weather? You dont have to live here long to know it is pleasant from late Oct - March/April and hot from May - mid October. I was born in FL. There may be subtle change in color in leaves but it's not the same thing really.
And it's FL, whether you're in the north, central, or southern part of the state, the weather doesnt differ that much. In the winter, yes the panhandle and much of northern FL might be in the 30's at night while the rest of FL is in the 40's, but that isnt significant.

Average low temps are about 40 in Jax in Jan and Miami avg low is 60.
That is a significant difference.
I have live in S Fla and now in Cen. Fla, there is a significant difference.
I had brought up that many discussing Florida weather have no actual knowledge of it and it is evidenced in the posts that just say "Florida weather" as if it is all the same which it is not.

When both temperature and humidity are high, humans can experience considerable heat stress. In the U.S., extreme heat may have greater impact on human health (Kalkstein and Davis 1989), especially among the elderly (Changnon et al. 1996), than any other type of severe weather.

Ok. I thought your post was directed at me, so I apologize if I seemed rude in my post. Yes, 20 degrees is a big difference, I agree. I wish there were a 20 degree difference in the summer temps, maybe I should have said that to begin with, lol.

Snow can be pretty to look at, but on days that my husband wasn't home and I had to shovel our driveway (which was a steep hill) in order to leave, it lost its luster quick. I hate winter and snow so much, I don't even like to see it on tv down here in FL
NH is beautiful though and I will always love it, its the cold winters & snow that I don't like.

No problem, sorry for the misunderstanding. I know you stated you lived here but others that came down for a couple of weeks vacation in the summer somehow get the idea that is the only weather there is here.
The summer temps are a bit closer throughout the state, there is a 6 degree difference between where I am and Naples right now but also only a 6 degree difference between where I am and NYC.
