Fortunately, there is a difference in "country people" and "rednecks."

I don't know. There are some key aspects as to what a "redneck" is I suppose, but I personally never thought racism was a pre-requisite...

That's just a difference in our definition of what a "red neck" is I guess......

I'd suggest checking what Sci Mad's definition is before you all take that discussion any further... (I have even LESS of an idea what "Typical South Floridians" he's referring to.....).

Maybe we should just all start speaking English here (though this IS the Florida forum so...... ) and say what we mean........ What's worse, Cuban refugee drug lords, or poor white trash country racists?? (Yes, I'm being facetious people... Simmer down.. )

When he says typical south floridians I assumed he was talking about spanish talking people.

What I've always known, been told, ect, ect, is that Rednecks are the ones that fly the confederate flags and preach about how they are the superior race and are often very loud and proud about the fact that they are rednecks. Country folks on the other hand are just good people that live out in the country and have good morals and work ethics.

Anyways, You can find both in Florida although typically, They are inland or in the northern parts of the state. The folks Sci Mad doesn't care for I also assume from past experience tend to migrate towards the coast.

Oh, I understand. Look, the panhandle has lots of rednecks and FL crackers, my thoughts are "so what?" I am a FL cracker! I'd take them ALL day long over many of the "newer" residents FL has.

Since we're being pretty frank, it's the in-your-face, get-outta-my-way, talk fast, drive fast, go-go-go" types. Doesnt matter is they speak english or not, I just hate the rude aspect that S FL is filled with now.
