What is your deal? Do you like to Start S***So what, I didnt draw my longitue and latitude in the sand for YOU! This is how it went down buddy. I asked for some ideas, you suggested St. George, I said I didnt want to go that far up. You start tit for tating me about going to St. George. How about this? You go to St. George. Go tonight. Hurry! You can walk, fly, take your beloved RV, scuba on over..what ever you like! I don't want to go. Im not going! I will suggest one thing when you head out to St. George.. TAKE A MAP! Because it is in the Panhandle! It is very NEAR the Panhandle. Here are my resources.... Dip Stick!

"St. George Island, Florida, is located about 75 miles from Tallahassee. You can get here by driving on the bridge and the causeway from U.S. 98. U.S. 98 is considered the scenic route to get there. This route runs along the panhandle coast. The island is only 29 miles long and at any point, the width is no greater than a mile. The island is well known for fishing, swimming and it has some of the most serene and uncrowded beaches for miles. The waters of the Gulf of Mexico surround it on the south and Apalachicola Bay surrounds it on the north.."

"St. George Island and near by Apalachicola offer excellent resaurants, serving world famous Apalachicola oysters, fresh seafood and plenty of old town shopping. The area also offers some of the very best fishing along the panhandle.

Florida vacation rental by owner: 3 bedroom Beachfront Home rental that sleeps 8. Beach Breeze - Beachfront Home

WOW look at that.!!!!Now you have something to do! Go bother these people or "belabor" them about stating that St. George is in the Panhandle!

Lover's Key sounds like what you're looking for. I;m not sure exactly where it's located, but I think it's close to where you're wanting to be....hope so. I have not been there, but saw a special on it and can't wait to go. We had planned on going last year, but had to change plans. The beach and park seemed very romantic and secluded and from what I can remember affordable. Hope that helps!
