FLARELOCATOR is on a distinguished road
Question Gainesville Jobs

I am very interested in relocating my family to the Gainesville, FL area. I have family in the area and have always wanted to move there since I was a kid. I grew up in the desert southwest and love the trees, rain and water. Opportunities after college lead me to the DFW area in Texas. We immediatly disliked the big city and moved to a far nothern suburb. Since then we have had a love/hate with the large metroplitan area and would like to move to a smaller city to raise our kids.

I worked in various Information Technology roles and currently a manage a team of QA, support and installation employees. I have a great job and awesome pay. There is an opportunity with my company to work remotely, but I want to see what other types of jobs exist in Gainesville. I'm don't need an IT company, but I am looking to stay in management. My questions to the forum are:

Besides UF and medical, what other companies operate in Gainesville?
Is there any type of business journal for the Gainesville area?

Thanks in advance for any comments or info! I'm off to seach the chamber of commerce website!

That is mainly due to the medical and university jobs being more stable.

"Gainesville jobs"

I understand these words, but that phrase makes no sense.
