I can only tell you what I observe living here for some time now. I have not noticed any trouble with people that have "Gators" bumper stickers. I have actually never heard that before until now. What I have observed, family members and friends who have lived here for a long time now, is that usually the bad drivers/recklessness/stupidity comes from younger (I say probably younger than 40 y/o) hispanics and also the people with the NY Yankees and Boston Red Sox bumper stickers that are always in a hurry. I can only tell you mainly what I observe in my area, and knowing my neighbors and observing what goes on in my neighborhood. There are very few native Floridians in my neighborhood, but ALL of them that I know are very involved in making our community a better place, and keeping the riff raff out. The main complaints in our area, (and I'm going to tell you the WHO that is doing the WHAT) are theft (we mainly know which people are involved - kids in the area - yes the ones caught have all been hispanic. One of them was a construction worker who works out in the subdivision - he is white - BIG time Brooklyn accent. I knew the guy actually. The other major problem are the speeders - driving recklessly, blowing through stop signs, and no, none of them have Gator bumper stickers. Most of the people that do this are foreign -many of which are hispanic. We had the cops out here this morning - a neighbor getting violent with someone - they are from NY. This particular family needs to get OUT! They're causing lots of problems. Last weekend, we had some neighbors who like to speed at midnight - revving up their engines and chasing eachother and yelling out the windows and honking and carrying on. I know where both cars involved live - both hispanic males.

I'm telling you this exactly how I see it. If some wanna say I am racist for saying WHO is doing WHAT, then call me racist. I just tell it like I see it. I wouldnt have much to say if these things didnt occur. So rather than get mad at me (not you Orlando RE Miracle - I'm just saying in general) for telling it like it is, wouldnt it be easier if some people just got their act together and acted like a normal person?

Why is it almost always the SAME people doing the same stuff?

^^^ You always pick and choose the SAME AREAS to make your argument. Weston vs. Alpharetta, Weston vs. Cary, etc... I'm not going to compare. If you think that crime in FTL is less than Asheville, you are crazy! And Asheville just several points less than Tampa? HAH! Show me Asheville in the headlines like FTL or Tampa. Gimme a break.

Crazy but true . I used Weston once, and I thought Alpharetta and Cary were the holy grail anyhow.

I can come up with way more but the point being is that it depends more on what neighborhood you live in than what state. There are some really crappy areas in Syrmna, as there are in Miramar. There are also some really nice ones in both. And basically, most of the southeast has relatively high crime compared to other regions of the country.

Oh, and just for the hell of it.

Tampa Crime Rate

1999-1083.9
2000-1043.5
2001-1067.0
2002-1040.3
2003-957.9
2004-823.1
2005-695.8
2006-610.1
2007-539.1

Orlando Crime Rate

1999-1126.1
2000-1022.0
2001-995.0
2002-939.4
2003-879.1
2004-886.2
2005-928.0
2006-984.6
2007-960.9

Tampa's crime rate has fallen by more than half (50.26%) from 1999-2007 even though Tampa's population has skyrockted during that time, while Orlando's crime rate only fell by 16.7% during that same time. Orlando now has nearly double the crime rate of Tampa while they both used to have around the same crime rate up until 2004.

Thanks for the uncensored review. I'm shocked to hear how bad it's gotten in Waterford lakes.

Ouch, the ENITRE city of Greenville beat what is considered a South Florida ghetto...

Oh please, Greenville is more dangerous than that ghetto? Gimme a break. You take your chances in Lauderhell and I'll take mine in Greenville. Tons of people relocating to G'ville, not a Lauderhell. That just goes to show how phony the stats are. Go poll anyone in America who knows of both cities and I can guarantee 95% of them would take G'ville over Lauderhill. Anyone who truly thinks G'ville is more dangerous is a lunatic.
