The central Panhandle does well in terms of the schools question, but the labor market is pretty screwy.

I'll have to interject - would you people answer in more of a 2009 form? As in there are a lot of people today that don't require to find a job is a state they want to move to. Every time I read a thread like this everyone starts talking 'find a job first' - how about just answering the question and let the person asking worry about that.

Everyone has to be a frickin mother

Dude, just chill already.... the OP said they wanted a chance for employment, as most others who post here mention, so yeah we are going to tell them about the job situation - don't know why that upsets you so much.

dude is chilled, the OP did not say that they were in need of work either, just as this job chance could be for a teen, spouse etc.

Also it didn't upset me, if what I posted makes you think I was overly upset then you are overly PC LOL. (I inserted that LOL for your benefit since everything needs to be susie sunshine)

Back on topic - the point is that everytime I read these types of threads there is a bunch of motherlike responses just focused on the job rather than the area part of the question. Especially in Central Florida (after looking at several areas) that it seems to be real consistent. I'd rather see the area information as that is what is being asked.

Information I've gained about other areas from these forums - quite a bit
Information I've gained about areas in florida -specifically central - very very little

yea probably a great indicator to leave central florida LOL

How is living in Viera? Employment is not my major concern. Crime is. And convenience to public transportation, decent shopping, and a decent hospital.

Thinkng of relocating with my family 3 children 2 under the age of 10( the otehr off to college) and "significant other' to Florida somwhere between Vero beach and Miami. From my reseach sounds like Grainesville is a pretty "cool" place live in that there is art culture, etc colleges and maybe not too conservitive, yet it is too far from my familyparenst and siblings). I will be coming from Boston so I dont want to live a town that is "stuffy" or too concervitive and would like some "culture", a town were people are welcomimg but not in each others bussiness.. and near the ocean..asking for too much? any suggestions??

You might want to check out Sarasota county. The school system is excellent. Lots of art & culture, Siesta Key Beach-one of the best in the world.
