As a previous resident of the Acreage for 10 years it terrifies me. We moved out of there about 1 1/2 years ago, but I still am concerned. I have 2 kids, and we lived right where the cases have been found. I'm talking to my pediatrician today. I'm not a hyperchondriac, but when it comes to my kids, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Those homes are on wells aren't they? That would be my first concern. I would never drink well water without maybe distilling it first.

The problem as with any investigation, we have too much CYOA right from the start.

We had well water for years when I was a kid. We NEVER drank the water, even filtered. You can never get that sulfur taste out

Im on a 50' deep well here in the Panhandle in the woods on very sandy soil...and enjoy the taste of the water. I dont filter it. It looks pretty clear in the glass. I never get the runs from it, either. I thought id put a filter on the incoming line just to be safe though.
