Go take a look at both of those forums. They are very busy. And there really is a difference in the two areas. A big difference. The area spans about 130 miles when you include Naples. And we take all Naples questions, and there are a lot of them, too.

Southwest Florida is "hot" right now. There's lots of publicity out there. Most of it bad. But there's a major rush to buy up the bargain-basement houses, 12 percent unemployment rate be damned. Everyone is a Super Hero.

I don't see a lot of Daytona questions. If people are really interested they will ask on the main Florida board, just like we all did, at one time.

How is that fair?

Do you really think you're gaining future support for your cause by blackballing our request?
I agree that this is unfair and I have to say somewhat childlike.

Cool Go Figure!

Daytona Beach, the "World's Most Famous Beach" is a major tourist destination in Florida, especially in this economy. Many tourists are requesting specific info and can't find it because it's posted in forums from Florida (general), Orlando, Jacksonville and Ocala -- because people from outside the area aren't sure which city to post to! They are also seeking posts on the following cities and don't know where to post/find them:

The Daytona Beach metro area includes Volusia and Flagler counties in Florida which include the cites of Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Ormond-by-the-Sea, Daytona Beach Shores, Ponce Inlet, Wilbur-by-the-Sea, Holly Hill, Port Orange, New Symrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, DeLand, Orange City, Deltona, DeBary, Pierson, Casadega, Barberville, Samsula, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Bunell, Beverly Beach and Destination Daytona.

Again, most people from out of the area have NO CLUE in what counties these cities they recognize are located in and WHERE to post or LOOK for posts. Orlando market (and "other" FL markets) are NOT interested in specifically this market and cannot give accurate info./advice on them!

DAB is a recognized commercial, international airport served by Delta, USAirways, IslandPass and AirGate (Bahamas).

Daytona Beach REAL ESTATE is attracting buyers and investors because of the considered bargains, historic structure inventory, cost of living, amenities, quality of life and commercial properties for tourism, rates, LOGISTICS. The city of Daytona Beach (esp. historic downtown neighborhoods) is becoming a HOT attraction for properties to SPECIFIC MARKET SEGMENT DEMOS from Portland, OR, Bend, OR, Seattle, WA, Bellingham, WA, Asheville, NC, Cambridge, MA, Providence, MA, Key West, Austin, TX, Brattleboro, VT, Miami/Coconut Grove, South Miami Beach and San Francisco. There is also international attraction from UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brasil, Argentina, South Africa, Austrailia, New Zealand, China/Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and S. Korea.

Daytona Beach is the World Headquarters of the LPGA:

I did not vote for a single city as Daytona. I did vote for a large area coverage in the Panhandle from Tallahassee to Destin.
