My comments were made regarding your rudeness here. You have no right to make mental health comments and ESPECIALLY make ridiculous assertions that 99% of humans don't find joy in cold and darkness.
It is no darker anywhere else in the lower 48 and PLENTY OF PEOPLE LOVE COLD. NEWSFLASH.
So now you snark "not too healthy". "Makes one wonder" what it is about YOU that you have to analyze strangers and can't stop even when people challenge you for doing it.
So "Florida and her beauty" are supposed to hypnotize the rest of the country? Anyone who you perceive as negative about Florida is depressed were your words.
Guess what I can name you 25 people who feel Florida is butt ugly. You're only thinking about the water and "palm trees' oh yeah....the palm trees yes we hear that all the time.
Be sure to stop back when you ACTUALLY LIVE IN FLORIDA. And if you EVER drive THROUGH the REAL Florida.
I love these people who never even lived here finger wagging at residents. There's quite a few of you.
The converse of your theory....anyone with an escapist dreamer mentality thinks "her beauty" cures all life's challenges.

You should follow your own advice. I don't see where I was rude. And lastly, I wasn't referring to how damn dark one state is over another lmao, I was referring to Tanaples always going on how she hates to go outside for anything and prefers to sit at home in the dark ok. To most people, not just me, that is not healthy. But she suffers from seasonal SAD so that explains all that. Challenge me? Honey I have dealt with the best of people

Wow you really do love Florida, huh? Do you live in Ohio?
Didn't you post that you lived here one year and then up NOrth for 27 years after? :
"I feel I lost 27 years of the type of life I love, the ocean, surfing, the heat, diving, fishing etc. Instead all I got was 3 months of pool swimming, no diving, no surfing, no fishing on the ocean, nothing."
Hey FringedNFab, now here's a guy who might enjoy your personal psychoanalysis skills LOL
My friend, I've been in Florida since 1962. It is QUITE different than 27 years ago LOL. One might also ask the question you put to someone else why you'd live in a place you didn't want to live FOR 27 YEARS.

If you dislike it so much then why not make plans to move like the rest of people? I personally know of people who just up and pack and move to another state overnight and not look back or think twice. They get to where they're going and make a life at it there. 40+ years in a place you cannot stand, I guess I can see the bitterness/crabbiness in people.

That is a pretty big statement. Did that poster ever consider that not all of Florida is the same? I lived in Gainesville in 1971. There were NO beaches, surfing, diving, or fishing. It is INLAND. The condo where we lived didn't even have a POOL.
Oh, maybe I didn't do my RESEARCH back then EITHER.

Are you referring to me? You must be confused. That quote was from SunnyDays90 not me. And he/she said 27 years not 40+.Where did you read I "lived in a place I cannot stand"? Or are you 'reading into" my mental thoughts since I said Florida is different than 27 years ago.
Do you believe that's a perjorative or untrue statement? Wow I don't think I've ever met someone who thought Florida is just like it was in 1982. That's the year Epcot opened. Maybe you missed the Cocaine Cowboys of the 80's, the South Beach renaissance, Immigration Refugee Act of 1980, The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, and the massive Immigration Act of 1990, and I think there was another one in around 1993 or 1995 with amnesty provisions.....then Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina and Wilma, and the housing bubble. Also the fact that Florida continues to rank last or almost last in high school graduates. Then there's the proud position Florida led the country in violent crime state through most of the 1990's and the overburdened infrastructure of the 2000's due to massive newcomers satisfying the overdevelopment of the entire state. These are facts not someone's "depression" point of view.
Now if you're so interested in my background I have about 1592 posts that can catch you up. I live here by choice. That doesn't mean I don't understand other persons' points of view or the deficiencies in Florida. "Her beauty" does not overcome all challenges.

You left out part of my quote.
I should have never left and caved into pressure from both sets of parents to come back. It was a huge mistake to come back here and now we want to move to Florida.
Just for your info, I know Florida very well, fact extremely well!
I am in or speak to people who live in Florida almost every day. I do tons of business with businesses in Florida and have both family and a large amount of friends who live in Florida. I own two websites on Florida travel and life.
I am in Florida at least once a month if not more. I used to be in Florida even more then that doing wholesale trade shows all over the state.
I met tons of people and still friends with them today and not one single person whom I talk to or messenger with tell me the same crap that posters here post. Sure we all know the economy is bad but that is bad everywhere.
Ohio has changed to, far WORSE them Florida would ever dream of.
Entire towns which flourish years ago are now ghost towns.
Here is a town that was booming in the 1960 and 70's, now look at it.
My dad worked in a steel mill that had 5,000 employees in 1979, now it is an empty building that is falling apart. This is in every single steel town along the Ohio River.
So when you bashers post how much Florida has changed, you have NO IDEA what change is, come to Ohio, Michigan, Ind, W. Pa and see towns falling apart at their seems.
You do not see entire towns doing this in Florida.
So the excuse that Florida has change mean ZERO to me, I know Florida and I know Ohio and Michigan and W Pa, West Virginia etc, and NO WAY NO HOW has Florida even can compare to the changes in these states.
And yes, we lost 27 years of a real life by living in cold Ohio, we have been here for our parents as they age and still are which is a positive, since we have many other siblings who can help take care of them and once one of them beat cancer our butts will be in Florida!
Do not tell me about change when you have lived in Florida and probably never been out of the state to see just how bad it is on the other side of the tracks.

I find it very interesting in that the biggest defenders of the state of Florida are the wannabe residents of Florida. They don't live here. They are so enamoured of Florida that they cannot stand the fact that there are people living here, while THEY don't, who don't like it and "complain and don't move".
Hey, if you are already living in a place that gives you a RIGHT to ***** about it. If you don't, then just shut up until you actually move here.
