30% or 40% plus expenses. Few lawyers will take a case that small.

Mango is right - that is a pretty small case. If you have hired an attorney your contract should indicate what the fee will be. If you have not you may want to consider small claims court. Generally the parties cannot bring attorneys with them, which keeps costs down. But you could consult one for an hour or ttwo for some pointers and pay an hourly fee.

It's by percentage also depends if the lawyer is charging you fees or only take part of the settlement or judgment. So it's usually around 1/3 maybe a it more. If there are no fees it could be p to 40 percent especially for small cases. Usually if you Re the prevailing party in the settlement your Ttorney gets fees from the other party. It all depends on the contract but I would say anything over 40 percent is a lot.
