Palmettos in a Highrise?
I understand the Palmetto's are everywhere, even in western Wisconsin I would see them, I was told they were Wood Roaches and they lived in the trees, but they would fly right into your house. They are the exact same thing as Palmetto//American Cockroach.
I am wondering if there is less of a possibility of finding them in a high rise condo building? Seems like they would have less opportunity to get inside.
ya!

Yep!! Same family as the lobster....... I had one last night, the cat found it. Good girl >"<
and I picked it up and threw it in the toilet and watched it do the back stroke against the current. I was a figuring about throwing in half a tongue depressor to see if it could surf....

I have lived here for 10 years and if I see one somewhere, I wont go near that spot for a week. I would drop dead of a heart attack if one flew....gulp...into my hair. I want to cry just thinking about it.

This is enough to make me move
I've only lived here (moved from New Jersey) a month now. I swear,, if I wasnt out of work and had the money I would be outta here faster than panties at a prom. I mean, here I am 25 minutes ago trying to go to sleep. Big interview tomorrow morning and one of these nasty creatures decides to wish me good luck by not just landing on me, but walking over me and as I jumped out of bed run right to me and try to go for another ride. When it comes to bugs, anything thats larger than a common ant or fly will just chill me to the bone. Spiders and ANY roach will almost make me pass out. So here I sit with my laptop, outside in my cousins car (who Im staying with until I get on my feet) because sleeping inthe house is not an option tonight. OH! And the suite I was going to wear tot he interview tomorrow, there was another one standing on the tie I'd placed in the pocket. So that too is no longer an option. In fact, tomorrow I'll probably be taking that suite, wrapped up in two garbage bags, to the cleaners to have sand blasted and perhaps set on fire for good measure.
There isn't enough boric acid int he world to get me to go back into that house tonight and tomorrow is rather iffy at best.
Sorry, anyway, that is a good question.... Because, when I move outta here (and that will be as soon as I get a job, save up $5,000 and start looking) it will be to a condo type building in Midtown/Downtown area. Are these flying Toyotas less likely to waltz in there? AND, the other creatures that get on my last nerve.... These friggin Lizards!!!!!!! I DETEST REPTILES as much a bugs. Will those things climb up that tall a building, say 10th floor? (and yes, I have stepped on one iwthout knowing it and had the unlucky task of not knowing it until I got in the house and half of a lizard is trying to crawl away from the shoe I just took off)
