Oh boo hoo. The "high paying jobs" touted in North Carolina centered around the finance and mortgage industry were every bit as speculative and on shoddy ground as the "real estate" and construction industry here. Banks anywhere are one VERY important piece of the housing bubble puzzle. Home speculation and real estate boom in Florida could not have happened without NC banks giving money to any twit that could fog a mirror.

Then what was the deal with all those commercials running all the time to come to the Carolinas? Most were run by the states themselves. They wanted people who were selling their over priced Florida homes to come up there and invest it. I think it was "Be careful what you wish for".

Actually Charlotte has more people from NJ than NY. But see that is the NC way...blame everyone else for their problems. See why I left there?
And trust me FLorida plates are getting quite common here. I wonder what they think once they realize just exactly where it is they landed.
My neighbor (elderly) who lives across from me cries a lot. She misses her friends, she has nothing to do. And that's true. There's nothing for seniors around here...nothing.
