Ok, so my fiance received a good job in Haines City, but in researching it doesn't seem like a place I would like to live. I was looking at Lakeland and it seems to be a nice area. Does anyone have any opinions on Lakeland, or good areas around Haines City??

you're right , you don't want to live in haines city, nor kissimmee nor poinciana.

Lakeland is pretty nice. Winter Haven is OK too. Good luck

We have plenty brand new homes for rent in my sub in north Lakeland or plenty of new homes going up for sale.

Haines city is a nice place to live our schools , churches , hospital police and fire are great . we have a lot of really nice area in and around our city . It has the small town feel , but is close enough to Lakeland Winter Haven Orlando Tampa , afew miles either way and you can do a lot in this area . the houseing market is good and the jobs in this area may not be great but a few miles in either dirrection is worth wild . we do have some promblems but they are working to rebuild the downtown area and our city redevelopement is doing great
