Default Florida D&G report

I found a article about Florida's current economic state. It has actual facts and figures so there really isn't much to argue about concerning the state's economic health. So my point in making this post is to hopefully inform. It would also be interesting to see what people may think can be done or should be done to help this state.

The decisions this state has made in the past as far as relying heavily on tourism and real estate has proven unsustainable. My view is that they should try and get alternative energy firms here. there has been a big push with bio medical but it is hard for Florida to compete on that level seeing as how we don't have the local talent necessary to fuel such ventures in a impactful way. I also think there should be major public/private partnerships in mass transit. I am not talking about a bullet train from orlando to Tampa either. I mean serious, meaningful and HUGE mass transit initiatives like bullet trains that link all major florida cities. Then heavy rail with in cities that make traversing the urban core easy without the need for car. Pull in suburbs with bus rapid transit sytems and commuter rails. The mass transit may not sound like much but it means local jobs during the build out. means jobs as the trains will need operators and the stations will need workers. Also as inflation kicks in every further and gas prices go higher and higher we will need alternatives. Just think about what happened last summer. Well, what happens when that happens again x 2

those are some of my ideas.
