Hello from Long Island.

to all those who live in the keys.....

I just returned from a weeks vacation with my daughters and it gets better every year (2nd year ). Beautiful place..GREAT people...just a fantastic place to be.

This year we stayed in Duck Key and visited Islamorada, Marathon (many times) and made it to Key West.

Just wanted everyone know how much a tourist loves your community and how well you deal with us "tourists". I know it can be hard sometimes (I live in a tourist area myself).

What a nice note! My husband and I live in Key Largo and we prefer to use the term "visitor" instead of "tourist". After all, if a person travels, one will be a "visitor" too. Last week I was in NYC and the locals could not have been nicer or more helpful.

I think it helps to realize that we don't "own" this area just because we live here. We are more custodians of a very special environment. The more people know about this unique ecosystems, the more people will understand the importance of preserving it.

I was in NYC 2 weekends ago and at Key Colony last weekend. Loved both places and I'd go to the Keys every year and multiple times a year to get away. Great place to visit and hangout.
