The public schools in Leon county are excellent, check the school grades from last year.

I live in Apopka, it depends where in the city you live. Alot of areas in Florida have its rough areas, just depends which area of the city you move to. Majority of the schools here have sports and clubs with sports. Apopka is a small city 15min from disney 40min from beach.

My husband is a Texan and would love to move back home, we are seriously considering Florida because the home prices are so economical right now. Love the Texas Hill country, but aren't houses very expensive? We currently live in rural, northern Maine and want to retire to MUCH warmer climes.
