Default Moving from Ohio

I have been studing Florida for about a year and a half now, we have vistied the ocean just about every year since I can remeber, my husband has a possible really decent job offer in the Indian Harbor Beach area, pretty great pay, we have 2 children 13 and 9, so I am trying to get as much info as possible for all that we need to know about the Melbourne are and other areas close, my children are my greatest consern, but we all are so in love with the ocean, its all I think about I think I am obsessed. I have arthritis and am sooooooooo ready for alot warmer weather which from everything I have read I will get in Florida. This summer in Ohio has sucked! There were days it was in the 60s in July with ran, my kids are both in summer ball and we sat out in alot of chilly rainy ball games. H How are the beaches, we are also thinking about getting a camper once we are moved, we have to dogs and would like to take them along. Any advice would be great, we are gonna just start out renting, so any realistate rental programs would be great to know about. My daughter is the oldest and loves the arts, how are the schools with the arts???
Thanks for any input!!!!

Actually, Brevard County has recently had 3 or 4 beaches as the cleanest beachest in Florida in Melbourne Metro Area. Melbourne Is apart of Orlando as a region so as far as inner-city necessities be ready for the 70 mile travel but its worth it. The space coast is a beautiful thriving growing place to live. Schools with arts? Well in some cases some schools have programs in which they specail in. (Law,Aviation,Performing Arts Etc.) Check the county school website google in Brevard County Schools and check to see if a particular school is connected with the arts.

Check out SWFL! It is awesome, they have a lot of wonderful beaches. Sarasota and Sarasota county have some great schools. If you like doing things outdoors you have some of the best weather anywhere - although it gets pretty hot during June, July, and August. There is so much to do!

Hi There, I also reside in Ohio with my two children who are 8 and 4 and my husband has a great job here and was just promoted. He just recently purchased his own office space and has his territory in the Midwest. I have been pushing for us to move to Florida, I would love to go to the Sanibel Island area though. You are so fortunate to be going, if in fact that's what your families plans are, and I completely understand your obsession with the beach as I am right there with you. I am always online searching the foreclosures in the Florida area, because the area that I want to move too normally requires millions, which we cannot afford at this stage in our lives. I am looking for a way to get a beach home that I can invest in and afford right now or maybe buy land and gradually do what I want once that is paid for. I think it is awesome for you guys to make the move and a great adventure for your kids, I would love to be in your shoes right now, so enjoy, look forward and not backward and I am sure that the future will bring you great happiness with many wonderful memories.

We are planning on not looking back, but ya never know, we have talked about moving for years and I finally just said o.k. no more talk and more action, so thats what we are doing, the job market is a bit sticky though, but he has had a couple of calls and a couple of offers, and so far we really like the Melbourne area. I hope you get the opportunity to do the same!!!!! I can't wait to smell the salt water and walk barefoot on the beach in the sand!!!! Now we just have to make sure the job offer goes through and we are south bound!!!!!

Me to! No more snow! No more shovels, no more scraping your car before you have to go anywhere, no more snow clothes, and on and on and on.
