Post Florida Global Advantages

When it comes to international business, Florida truly is THE place to be – no other site in the Western Hemisphere can match its unique combination of a strategic geographic location, state-of-the-art infrastructure, multilingual workforce, and concentration of corporate and financial resources, all in a world-class pro-business environment and an attractive geographical setting. In sum, Florida is the Americas’ commercial crossroads.

Today, Florida serves as a hemispheric hub for international banking and finance, education, transportation, telecommunications, and cross-border trade and foreign direct investment. In fact, Florida has consistently been among the top U.S. states in attracting foreign direct investment, and is host to about 2000 companies from other countries – including some 300 regional corporate headquarters of multinational firms. The state also has one of the largest concentrations of international banks, consulates, and bi-national chambers of commerce in the United States.

From a business approach this is great, money is always in the horizon. But is this great for the way we grow as a community or family? Due to our diversification in the social and economic arenas are we a multi everything society. Will the economic grow keep you here or will it make you depart?

It's probably not how the rest of the country views Florida, I know it's not what I thought of Florida as being...until I moved here. Living here day to day, yeah, I see what they are saying above.

Our ports alone are highly valuable. Most people wouldn't think of Jacksonville as being a major point of global import, but it is. Many automobiles have their entry point into the US via Jax. Jax is also starting to build port business with the Cruise line industry. Florida can be very flexible in using its' resources once it gets thinking !

I see no slowing down for the state. I know that can pain people when they picture the added population and increased cost of living likely to come along with it, but I'm excited about the growth.

Florida...it's not all palm trees and cartoon mice anymore !

With merchandise trade valued at over $95 billion flowing through Florida’s airports and seaports, Florida is one of the world’s leading trading entities. Whether shipping goods made locally in Florida (“Florida-origin exports”), elsewhere in the United States, or in another country, Florida companies act as key suppliers to buyers in dozens of countries worldwide. Likewise, non-U.S. companies have found Florida to be an excellent gateway for selling their goods in the vast United States market.

We are the main gate to other countries and companies... no surprise of the multi-racial groups in the state.
