There is A movie theater in Palm Coast, right?
When you say 'the lack of a good movie theater' does that mean there is one but it's just not very good, or do you mean there is currently NO movie theater in PC?

Yes, both those sections have a lot of children. Anywhere near the schools you'll have more kids. Indian Trails Elem and middle school were excellent due to the great principle. She kept the kids in line and taught respect for others etc... She is now the principle at our 1st high school, Flagler-Palm Coast High. The new Rymfire elem school recently opened and don't really know anything about it. There is also Wadsworth Elem & Buddy Taylor Middle which I have heard good things about.
Re: Movie Theatre, yes we have one here but it has a very bad reputation due to them treating the teens badly and reusing their glasses instead of throwaway cups. Many many bad posts about them on our local forums. We stopped going there as soon as the Regal in Ormond opened up.

There are two "B" sections, one off Old Kings & one off Belle Terre. It's quite bizarre how they alphabetized the sections - makes no sense. All the sections have kids, but I see fewer families & more retirees around the areas adjacent to golf courses, some streets in the "E," "W," & "L" sections.

I love love love Daytona Beach, but I have heard all kinds of awful things about crime there. Are there any safe areas there?

YES-THERE IS a Super Walmart! And you should check out the new TOWN CENTER at www.palmcoast.com
I am from the Northeast, and have lived in Palm Coast since 2004. I LOVE IT! Palm Coast is a beautiful place. And yes, there are a lot of empty houses- many people had them built during the boom time to sell for a profit, then the market slumped. And the houses are becoming very affordable again.

The new Town Center hasn't even been built yet. There are only pieces of it there... it might be nice once it's actually there....
But then again from your screen name it looks like you are realtor, right? You will never find realtors saying negative things about the very place they are trying to sell. So the gleaming positivity is because it's your job to sell the place. :-)
Readers should always take what a realtor says with a grain of salt. It's their job to sell the area they are working. They won't talk about the bad... just like if you are walking through a house with them and there is a giant whole in the wall that goes to the outside. You can say - look at this hole!!! And they will reply by saying something like "the textured ceilings are magnificent, aren't they?" If they point out negatives they get no sales and make no money... every area of this forum is filled with realtors looking for people to sell to. And they ALWAYS post overly wonderful things about the place in question.

On the Palm Coast website, it says that the town was founded in 1999? Is this true? Is that why there is nothing there yet?

Oceandreams: The town was incorporated in 1999. Palm Coast was here but it was part of the county and became it's own city in 99. Once it became a city things did start changing very quickly along with the real estate boom which drove prices higher and are now coming down. Crime also went up because of the poulation boom but that's normal.
I am not a realtor or have anything to do with the realty or mortgage business, just someone trying to help you see beyond the negativity of some. I know about this forum because we are planning a vacation home in western NC and read posts for that area. You can also check palmcoast.biz and flagleronline.com for addtl info.
Town Center is located at SR 100 and Belle Terre Pkwy but right now only has an awesome Publix, Quiznos, Hair Cuttery, and a few other stores. The land has already been cleared and prepped for the Super Target and whatever restaurants will also be going in. BTW: Super Target design plan and all it entails has been fully approved and permits ok'd by the City of Palm Coast. I have heard talk of it being completed by Xmas but not sure if that's a definite. Also the Wal Mart is to become a Sam's and a new Wal Mart is being built at Old Kings Rd & SR 100.
We also have Cobblestone Mall being built, land cleared and buildings already started right off of I95 and Palm Coast Pkwy right near the Wal Mart. That's where the Belks, BB&B, Lowe's and I'm not sure what restaurants but I know they will be in there. That is all on the north end of PC while Town Center is south of there. Also a Carrabbas is to be built on Old Kings Rd near the McDonalds along with another hotel. This is definitely not a rural town anymore it just feels that way. The country lifestyle is just west of us. We go on motorcycle rides to Crescent City and Palatka and the country roads are very nice.
Another section being started on the north end is called Palm Coast Park which you can google and get info on. They've started putting in all the water, sewer whatever pipes along US 1 but it will be awhile for that to be done especially with the r.e. slowdown. That will include many different types of residential housing and also commercial along the US1 corridor.
Yes, there are definitely many other sections as someone else mentioned with kids. European Village is also a great place to go for dinner and some entertainment on designated nights. Palm Coast is a beautiful area in many ways and very diverse in ethnicity. There's good and bad in all areas...just being realistic.
Flagler Beach is a quaint beach town trying to stay small and has an awesome July 4th celebration every year. Anyone interested in Flagler County area should get local maps to become familiar with all our different named roads. You can't do without one.

I had seen all the info on the site about a great town center, but there's hardly anything there. Like I said, I think it will be nice once it is. But a few stores doesn't make a town center in my opinion...
