Hey, that story is pretty cool! It looks like Orlando will be booming and have higher end jobs in the future. Did you see where it said that the population is expected to INCREASE by about 150,000? That's a LOT of population growth.

Hottest Job Markets for young adults in Florida
Orlando ranks #8 More than a million college seniors are preparing to enter the real world this spring -- and their prospects are remarkably good.
What makes it attractive
Orlando is all about growth. Its population is expanding about 3 percent per year, adding more than 50,000 people annually. And its employment base is clicking along even faster, increasing at an annual rate of 4 percent since 2001. The net gain over that period: 195,000 jobs.
A point of concern
Orlando's education levels are unimpressive. The percentage of young adults with college degrees is below average.
Quick stats
Metro population: 1,933,255
Annual rate of population growth: 3.1%
Annual rate of job growth: 4.0%
Unemployment rate for young adults: 9.2%
Householders younger than 25 who earn $75,000-plus: 4.1%
Median monthly rent: $716
Great news for the IT folks....
Metro Orlando has been named a top 10 "geek mecca" by Wired magazine. Business Week called it the "world epicenter" for computer simulation as well as a top-three growth hot spot, along with Stockholm and Singapore. ...
Orlando is the future home of a coveted Burnham Institute for Medical Research facility. That has sparked a flurry of calls from companies wanting to move to central Florida.
Looks like many diversified jobs coming to Orlando and the rest of central Florida. For those qualified and certified is good news....

The Venus Fly Trap Scenario Bate them in for Good weather and cheap housing!! The hottest job markets seem to be in cities close to the Mexican border! Immigrants from all over the world will inflate housing costs and reduce wages for people living in those markets. Jusssssssh!! What a shame!

This is great news to hear. Along with the IT jobs, we are about to get an influx of thousands of medical jobs as well thanks to the new school and hospital being built in East Orlando.
