gypsychic,

You are right! NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRAYER. During many wars, churches and places where people were praying were left standing in towns and cities that were destroyed by shells and bombs. God does answer prayers. Good for Governor Crist!

Well, if they did pray and they still got hit, well, they were not TRUE believers, dontcha know. Same thing happens when opposing teams pray. God has the TRUE believers win. And those people in N'Awlins? Yep. Had it comin' to them.

There's nothing wrong with what he is doing. It's amazing how stuff like this gets backlash on this thread.

Why? What did I say? Like I stated, I felt horrible for both, but there was a definite difference in news coverage. I posted pictures of it above - Iowa was affected too, but you never heard about it on the news, but N.O. was all over the news. Why? I know there was a difference in the people affected economically - but that doesn't mean that other actions that took place should be excused.

You obviously missed my point - my comment was directed toward the other poster who has never had one good thing to say about our area. This is not supposed to be turned into a religious vs non-religious thread. So what if our governor prays? It certainly can't do any harm can it? I can't believe the comments that are coming out of this. I am not a consersative OR a liberal, I am someone who just lives-and-let lives. I believe in God but am not religious nor do I follow a religion. But I will say one thing - God has been good to me and mine and I give thanks and say a little prayer every day.
