Need advice on buying one of the new townhouses. We are retired coming from Ct. . These are some of the Townhouses I have seen online. Cottages at Winding Creek, The Villas at heritage, Tuscany Villages,Sebastian Cove,Old Town Villages and the legends. We are looking for low fees but a nice pool and tennis and walking trails.

Look into the builder, there is a lot of crap built down here. Especially since the down turn in the economy, many builders are really cutting corners. I saw one place with supposed granite counters (I don't think they even were granite) that were like 1/4 inch thick with 1 1/4 bull noses on it to make it look like a solid counter. A lot of builders were already committed and knowing they were not going to get close to what they may have originally thought have little choice but to begin to do things on the cheap to get the jobs done. Just be careful, buy nothing without a through inspection. In fact, I would be more afraid of something new then something 10 years old.
