Jeez, I'm sick of it. I don't think there has been a dry day in months. And hot...God, I can't wait till the end of October.

September is the cruelest month because it is still unceasing. then comes October and it may not break till the very end, but I'll be California by the end of September and I just can't wait till I'm there.

Heading to the Carolina mountains end of Sept to cool off.

By first of Nov it should be much better here, not as hot as it is now. The cool fronts will start to come down and the humidity will hopefully abate.

2007 was my first year in this town. It felt very hot and humid last summer, bad for mosquitoes, too.
This year there have only been a couple days where I actually complained.
A nice breeze kicks up in the afternoons. Only a few skeeters.
The locals told me last year was unusual, and that this year is more typical, so that's encouraging.
I will be glad when we can open the windows again at night, but it probably won't be until October.

I have never been stuck in the house this much in the summer as I have been since moving to Florida. You can not even enjoy a mid day picnic in this weather.

The humidity was under 40% for a solid here week before Fay...

To everyone else- yes, it's hot in Florida. It's cold up north too and yes it's even more expensive in California and polluted in many (not all) areas to boot. And yes, it's hot in North Carolina too. The air conditioner wasn't invented chiefly for Florida, there is no such thing as a perfect climate.

Very true, there is no perfect climate, but San Diego gets pretty close.
