Default Question.
What exactly do people mean when they say Central Florida is a great place to raise a family? What makes it so great compared to other places in Florida? I'm relocating soon and have kids and have heard good things about the Orlando area. Is there more geared towards kids/families in that area? Better schools?

Not sure about central Florida but I can tell you that Sarasota county in SW Florida has the number one ranked school in the state and one of the top schools in the Nation-Pine View School for the Gifted in Osprey. I have two children that attend Pine View and we are very pleased with their education.

Maybe the people saying central Florida is a great place are from there and biased. There are a LOT more places here good to raise children.
