Florida vacation
Hi!
I'm planning a vacation to Florida. It's not my first time in FL (you can see my trips at FrankCM.com) but usually I focus on the South East (Miami area, the Keys), this time I'd like to focus on the Gulf of Mexico Area.
Last year I've been in Naples, Sarasota, Fort Myers, and this time I'd like to know better these areas, maybe going also to the Tampa Bay.
Do you have any suggestion? Alternative trips not mentioned on books? Any reply will be appreciated!
Saluti dall'Italia! Ciao!

Destin/Fort Walton Beach in the Panhandle , right on the coast. www.emeraldcoastguide.com . Lots of things to do, see, explore, people nice, super restaurants if you like seafood, live music inside Pubs and outside on the Boardwalk and in Parks, charter fishing boats, glass bottom boat ride , parasailing, kite-surfing, pure white sand beaches. I live 40 minutes away.

I booked last week a flight to NYC and I'm going to book a local flight to Miami... I was thinking about the Tampa/St Petersburg Area... something interesting in the area?

Try Tarpon Springs, it's a Greek sponging community. A little touristy but the food is great. It's north of Clearwater but not out of the way.
The beach towns from St. Pete Beach north are fun, laid back mostly but fun.

If you're pretty sure about the Tampa area, do the drive up to Homosassa Springs for the manatees.
