That area is no different than any other large city in the USA, at least in the southern states anyways. And it's not even that close to the mall. The only really bad area is further down Americana, the closer surrounding area you guys make it out to be a warzone or something, honestly.

The bad area starts under a quarter mile from the east side of the mall/IKEA area. Close enough to be wary in the parking lot, especially at night.

So how is this different than what the topic states, "Central Florida". I lived very close to University Park, one of the elite neighborhoods in Dallas, and a lady was shot in the face at Northpark Center when someone tried to jack her truck.
