We are moving from Chicago to Winter Haven. We have a 5 and 4 year old, can anyone recommend the best schools and best area to live???

Very nervous about the move, right now we live just outisde of Chicago - with the best neighbors in the world and all the shopping you can image in less than 2 miles. Our private school is 1 mile away.

Winter Haven has a number of good private schools. I believe all are affiliated with religious denominations so technically they are parochial representing Lutheran, Episcopal, Catholic and Evangelical religious traditions. We really have some excellent pre-school and elementary options. The toughest decisions will come when your children enter middle and high school.

Our shopping isn't the best but the good news is with the current real estate market you should be able to find a great deal. Most people prefer the southeast section of town though there are nice neighborhoods scattered all over town.
