I know we did the same thing.
We actually had the air off, early morning, and opened all the doors that go to the screened pool area. The breeze through the house was amazing. The house smelled so good.
talked to our OH friends last night. they are gonna spend some time today and break out the winter clothing She is telling me this while we were sitting by the pool did I mention to our friend that we were enjoying the warm weather Yep
Can't wait to do it around December.

Just heard on the weather foreast this morning that not only are we NOT getting a cold front, we may be breaking records in the Naples/Ft. Myers area for record HEAT. In the next couple of days, our highs are forecast for 94 degrees. I don't think we will be shutting off the AC right now.

In Florida, you can't turn off your A/C actually because Florida has burglars.

If you were in northern FL usually you should usually be able to take the AC off by now if we were at average temps. But it sure was a hot one today. I was in central and SoFla.
Even at 1:30am now it is still a steamy 82 degrees on the SE coast. Hey the optimist would say it would be about 85-86 this time of the night in mid August so we are making progress<g>
Monthly averages with 10 day forecast for Naples and Ocala a bit above average unfortunately.

Me too. Sometimes we actually run the heat during the night, but by noon that day we have the air running because opening windows just makes the inside feel as muggy as the outside even in Feb. .

the "cold front" was a bit ago. Last week actually. The temp only went down only a few degrees.
I heard the weather when I got home from work tonight. We are going to have record breaking temps in Vero too. Not shutting off the air. But not shoveling it either.

Compelled to reply is right. I too have read about the use of air conditioning as an anti-theft device in both homes AND cars in Florida.

This is Florida, you never turn off your AC. I keep my AC running all winter long except at night when is when I set the heater to turn on. I have the AC running even if it's 60 outside because of the sun hitting the house makes it warm inside. I dare not open Windows here, hudmity would eat me alike and Pensacola has the worst pollution in the state of Florida and the 11th worse in the nation.
