Bank Of America is eliminating closing costs. Maybe this will scare some buyers out of the closet.

Adams Homes [large builder in Punta Gorda & just bought out KB Homes nationwide] is also paying full closing costs. The homes are a lot of sq ft for the $$ but a lot to be desired in quality after passing the intial requirements. But, the homes are selling in the Deep Creek area of Punta Gorda. Average 1700 sq home, 4/2/2 is about $179-$200 there & many have bought for the fact Adams pays those closing costs [w/ preferred lender of course]. But Adams will not negotiate on price..so, it makes me wonder what they are actually "covering".

It will be interesting to see how many others start to follow this trend. By taking care of those closing costs, a buyer doesn't have to use so much cash.

Guess it all just depends.
