It was a tradition, for alot of years, to go swimming on Christmas just because we could

When you're born and raised in Florida you don't associate (well, I don't anyway) Christmas with smowflakes, snowmen, etc...

There's never a bad time to go to the beach!!
Except when a hurricane is coming

I think a better question would be how many people in Florida put a Christmas tree and for those that do, do they put up the traditional, fake pine looking tree? Fake palm tree? Real tree?
Floridians put up Christmas trees just as much as any other state. I never owned a fake Christmas tree in my life. They have huge tents on almost every corner full fresh Christmas trees around here for ppl to buy, plus in the garden sections of stores like walmart. They aren't hard to take care of, we never have any problems with them getting dried out or turning brown. We just fill up the water once every 2 days or when ever its too low, sometimes add sugar in the water and they last weeks.

LOVE the answers to this hog-brained question. We eat what the rest of the country eats. Jeesh. I like my snowbirds skinned and salted. haha

The same thing as Thanksgiving pretty much. I put oysters in my stuffing and I've brought it to company Christmas dinners up North and down South and my g/f's family up here and folks chow it down, they love it.
