Hi there.
Yes, I'm still down here for about 2 more weeks.....thus the reason I've been less active on the forums.
When I got here 2 weeks ago, everyone was complaining about the weather being too hot for October.......I was loving it.
It has been cooler the last few days, some complaining about the "cold"

, some loving being able to get their "winter" clothes out.
Me?, I've been wearing shorts and a tee shirt daily since I got here. I did notice I was about the only one at church with shorts on.....oh well. I'll be bundled up for the next 4 months up north, so it is shorts for me for now.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 85, low of 70....with it being a bit cooler then that towards the end of the week......still wonderful to me.
I've been too busy around the house trimming palm trees, weeding, washing windows, cleaning siding and roofs, as well as a bunch of indoor projects, etc. to notice foreclosures..........I do know that home prices are quite low, I do not think, at least around here, that it would go that much lower.....who knows? You are starting to see homes sell now, it seems. People are seeing the value of buying existing homes in nice communities instead of trusting the future of new developments and paying new building costs.
I'm kind of cloistered around many 55+ gated communities, and things seem pretty healthy around here compared to many parts of Florida, so I'm not the best one to ask.
Until retirement, (about 603 days or so, but who's counting) I'm only here a few times a year, so I'm loving every minute of it down here. I'm learning a lot about the difference between planting zone 5 and planting zone 9A.....while my kids are home raking dead maple leaves, I'm trimming my palm trees and watching my oranges ripen.
Soon I'll be back up north for the winter, scraping ice off the windshield, snowblowing, etc, etc. The shorts and tee shirts will stay down here, awaiting my return in the spring. In the interim, it will be flannel shirts and sweaters and long johns.......
Frank
