I moved out of my apt. May 1st. My lease was up June 1st. THe apt complex was difficult to deal with, I knew there was no way they were going give me back my $200 security deposit. THe place was rampant with drugs. It took them a week to fix my heat, when it was actually below 50 degrees (yes, we do need heat during the winter here), and then they didn't fix it correctly....so I left before the lease was up. I haven't heard a word from them. After I left the complex was taken over by the third management firm in two years...go figure...I wouldn't let it worry you. So many of the apt. companies here are fly by night....I rented my house in downtown Sarasota from a private landlord who wasn't concerned about the apt. lease.
