Default How is Florida for single people

I've seen that many of the people dissing Florida on here because it doesn't have good schools and its too expensive to raise a family. I'm interested -- does your opinion change in recommending it to people with no kids, or do you still think it's bad? (I'm talking about people who are going to remain single, not start a family once they move there)

Thanks in advance.

I'm really interested to hear everyone's thoughts on this as well.

Once you remove "good schools" from the equation, I think it really does open up the possibilities.

Depends on what you do. Have a profession that is needed here and still expect it to pay less than other places. Also, make darn sure that you are not in an area of retirees or it may not be that fun. Then consider the crime.

I guess it depends on how old you are, what you do, where you come from and how much money you have.

Then, I guess it would be great.

I would never suggest to someone that Florida would be just fine only because they didn't have kids or didn't want them. There are so many other problems. The cost/job ratio is enormous.

It's lousy. Quality of women is so bad, it might make a guy go gay! Oh wait, they guys are no better. A weak economy means people have to work more to compete with rich Venezuelans and northeasterners-Californicators. This takes the fun out of life in south Florida.

guess you need to look for girls in the north. at least the ones I know don't care (or would be sorely disappointed if they did). my boyfriend drives an 89 acclaim if that tells you how much I care

Default Single

Seems that the young people here will settle for just about anyone, I know a few gals that would do anything to land a guy, so that he would take care of them and they wouldn't have to work in their $6.35 an hr. jobs, instead they can sit home and watch Judge Judy. And the guys are looking for girls that have a little money or a little older, so they don't have to work as hard.

The pickings are very slim, trying to find a nice girl with morals, and the same goes for guys, you really have to hunt around.

Being single I think it would be much easier living here, not having to worry about family issues and such. If you don't like one area you pick up and go
and not have to worry about schools, kids, and family issues.

Dude, for the most part girls are like that everywhere. I haven't met a woman yet that would trade a guy driving a beamer for a guy driving a Honda, even if it is the Honda Accord. The girls coming up in high-school worry me b/c they watch stuff on MTV like Laguna Beach and these girls act just like the girls on that show. Even girls in college act like those girls. As a guy, don't give these girls attention. They maybe hot but do the opposite of what other guys would do, namely fawning over these girls and telling them how hot they are.
